Another big update to the game, with many fresh new additions and improvements:
- Five new dungeon types, double as many as before!
- Dense Forest/Jungle
- Oriental Castle/Temple
- Ice Cave/Frozen Ruins
- Tech/Steel Base/Laboratory
- ????
- Players now start in a small village built around the dungeon, where they can prepare for their quest!
- Starting equipment now includes a varying amount of gold that can be spent in the village.
- New HUD, fonts and menus that are more fitting with the rest of the 3D part of the game, as requested!
- Better shading and coloring for the enemies in general, with more layers of shadow with hue shitfting and other effects!
- Complete overhaul of the game's Descent mode, it's now a hardcore 100-floor gauntlet through all the games' dungeons, with a new ending cutscene!
- In the Ascend game mode, now each dungeon floor can be one of two variants.
- Double as many visual variants for equipment, to account for the new Descent mode!
- Created one recolored version of each of the enemies, to populate the new dungeons.
- You can now be forgiven of murder by making a small offering of 1000 gold.
- Merchants are more grateful of you clearing their stock.
- Better spell drop code, to avoid spawning repeats.
- Added an option to toggle the minimap and put it in the right or left side of the screen.
- Full minimaps now also show which rooms you've already visited.
- Removed the turn speed slowdown when running, as it felt bad when controlling the camera with the mouse.
- Better protection against kicking enemies and crates so hard they vibrate through walls and out of the stage.
- Better piercing spell (Ice Spike, Poison Cloud, etc) code to avoid cheap exploits.
- Revised tips text.
- Props are less likely to block access to other rooms.
- Better geometry for the walls in general.
- Each well now only provides one type of potion.
- Slightly better character creation screen.
- Slightly higher max equip weight.
- Small changes to spell costs, and nerfs to buff spells, including Metamorphosis.
- Nerfed the slime companion's damage.
- Endings and credits can now be skipped.
- Fixed the Reaver throwing rocks when you also have the Vortex ring.
- Fixed the Bull ring decreasing durability loss when using projectile weapons.
- Fixed traps scaling negatively on the Descent mode, causing hilarious backwards arrows that heal on impact.
- Fixed a crash when combining tool items with trash ones.
- Fixed a crash when a trap hits a faraway enemy, which isn't being drawn.
- Fixed a crash when mousing over an item that's been put in the Combine slot and consumed.
- Other misc fixes and improvements.
